Armory Park Closed for Renovations Published on September 09, 2025 Tucson Parks and Recreation recently closed Armory Park, 222 S. Fifth Ave. for renovations expected to continue through summer 2026. The $1.71 million project, funded by the Tucson Delivers Proposition 407 bond program, will add a shade structure, plaza, benches, picnic tables, a dog park, and new lighting, along with upgrades to restrooms, irrigation, and sidewalks.
