City of Tucson Phone Spoof Scam

The City of Tucson wants to make you aware of a phone scam currently targeting individuals using a spoofed City government phone number. In these calls, the scammer may claim to represent a City department and request personal information or payment.

Please be aware:

• The City of Tucson will never call to demand payment over the phone.
• Scammers may manipulate caller ID to make it appear the call is coming from a legitimate City number.
• Do not provide personal information, banking details, or payment over the phone to any unexpected caller.

If you receive a suspicious call:

• Hang up immediately.
• Do not engage, even if the caller appears to know your name or position.
