Pima Animal Care Launches Pet Support Hotline

Pima Animal Care Center (PACC) has a new Pet Support Center hotline that offers residents the resources they need to keep their pets and schedule admission appointments for strays and healthy pets they want to surrender. Three PACC staff members will run the hotline 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each weekday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends. The number is (520) 724-7222.

A $149,350 grant from PetSmart Charities made the Pet Support Center possible.

Ride Sun Link to UA Football Game

Prior to tomorrow's home game against the Washington Huskies at 7:30 p.m., University of Arizona football fans can experience the dining, entertainment, and retail opportunities at Main Gate Square, Fourth Avenue, Downtown Tucson, and the Mercado District, and then board the Sun Link streetcar to the UA from any one of the 23 stops along the 3.9-mile route. Once on campus, Arizona Stadium is a short walk from the Second Street and Cherry Avenue stop.

Bus Fare Changes Explained (Video)

Earlier this week, the Mayor and Tucson City Council voted unanimously to increase bus fares for the first time in five years. Starting in January, the full cash fare will go up 25 cents, to $1.75. The City Council also agreed to fix bus shelters, waive the purchase fee for a SunGO card, and more.

Museum Day is Tomorrow

The Museum Day Live! ticket provides free admission for two people. Museum Day Live! is an annual celebration hosted by Smithsonian magazine. Participating museums and cultural institutions in Tucson and across the country provide entry to anyone presenting a Museum Day Live! ticket.

Some participating Tucson attractions include the Arizona History Museum, Arizona State Museum, Tucson Botanical Gardens, and many others.
