On November 5, 2025 the City of Tucson Mayor and Council gave notice of their intent(PDF, 774KB) to increase parking rates and extend parking meter enforcement hours in 2026.

Student/Commuter renewals will begin Tuesday July 15th 2025 and run through Friday July 25th 2025. No permits will be issued from July 26th 2025 through July 31st 2025. New customers will be able to purchase a permit beginning Friday August 1st 2025. All permits will be sold on line and will need to be picked up in the Park Tucson office.

Effective as of June 2, 2025, enforcement of paid parking and the posted time limits for on-street parking began in the Mercado District. This paid parking and enforcement will promote increased availability of parking for customers and visitors in the Mercado District. See the map above to view the time limits for particular street segments.

New Parking Pay Stations have been installed on most blocks in the Mercado District. These Pay Stations accept coins, credit cards, and tap-to-pay. For more information, please see the How To Use the Parking Pay Stations video.

You can also pay for parking at the Mercado District via the GoTucson Parking mobile app, just look for the GoTucson Parking App Zone signs for your Zone number.

On-street parking is not enforced on the following holidays:
