This conservation program provides funding for indoor water efficiency retrofits on underserved multifamily properties across the Tucson service area. The goal of the program is to replace old and inefficient water fixtures with WaterSense-labeled high-efficiency fixtures in some or all qualifying units of the property free of cost to the property owner. In addition to the labor, retrofits for existing fixtures include:

*Funding is available for a limited time. Funding will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis.
Customer Eligibility
- Active Tucson Water customer; property must be actively served by a Tucson Water meter
- Account in good standing
- Applicant must be current property owner/manager or authorized on Tucson Water account
- Customer eligible to receive a single, maximum award of $170,000 to use on one property or across multiple properties
Property Eligibility
- Property construction date prior to 2006
- Only units needing a full upgrade with older, inefficient fixtures will be eligible. A full upgrade refers to a unit in need of minimum the first five items on the upgrades list above.
- Must be located in a high-priority or moderate-high priority area on the Tucson Equity Priority Economic Sub-index Map
Application Process
1. Fill out the application form. Tucson Water staff will review your information.
2. Tucson Water staff will be in touch with you to schedule a meeting to discuss the program.
3.Schedule on-site visit to determine eligibility of units and fixture types for retrofits.
4.Review and sign contract to begin project.
5.The property manager, contractor, and Tucson Water staff will coordinate throughout the retrofit process.
6.Post-installation visit from Tucson Water staff will be scheduled
