High Bill / Usage Alert Help

Smart home water guide

Did you receive a bill showing a "high usage" alert?

If you did not knowingly use (or lose) a lot of water in the last month, chances are you may have a leak on your property.

Leaks can occur anywhere water flows: in the service line from the meter to your home, toilet, evaporative cooler, irrigation system, water heater, swimming pool, spa, water treatment system, and more. Some water leaks are slow and difficult to detect.

Tucson Water cannot locate leaks on private property. However, Smart Home Water Guide has information and suggestions to help you find out where your water may be going. Click on the title or on the image at right to access or download the booklet.

Once the Smart Home Water Guide's visual leak steps have been followed, Tucson Water Utility Service Representatives can submit a High Bill Investigation work request to ensure there is not a leak at the meter. During the visit to the property, Tucson Water will verify the meter number, check for continuous flow, visually inspect the meter, pull the readings (if appropriate meter type), and leave a report for the customer to review (Common places meter box, door, mailbox). If you are interested in this free service, please complete the form below or call us at 520-791-3242 and ask for a High Bill Investigation.
