What's New?
Thanks to Proposition 407 bond funding and development impact fees, McCormick Park has a new, 8’-wide multiuse path, 9 new benches, a new and expanded irrigation system, 42 new trees, new sidewalk connections to enhance access to existing ramadas, and a new community garden.
Special thanks to Tucson Clean and Beautiful for hosting a lovely community tree planting event this spring, and to all the awesome residents who came out to help plant.
Parks and Recreation is delighted to partner with Community Gardens of Tucson to program and operate the community garden. If you’re interested in reserving a spot, please reach out to admin@communitygardensoftucson.org.
What’s Next?
Lighting improvements are coming in summer 2026, and Parks and Recreation collaborated with Ward 3 to secure a $115K Tohono O’odham Nation Gaming Grant to fund playground equipment replacement. Help decide what that playground will look like. Take the survey below through Monday, April 6.
