Naida Jane Baker
As a resident of Balboa Heights for more than 40 years, Naida Jane Baker has been an unwavering advocate for children and families in the area. Ms. Baker worked with the Ward 3 staff and the Friends of Marty Birdman Center to advocate for and to receive funding for building the splash pad in Balboa Heights Park. Ms. Baker received the Jefferson Award, a national honor for individuals who demonstrate the highest ideals and achievements in public service, and she served as the Balboa Heights Neighborhood Association President for more than 20 years.

Splash Pad Rules
- Use at your own risk.
- Children must have adult supervision at all times.
- No pets, glass, rocks, bottles, or water balloons.
- No skateboards, roller skates, rollerblades, scooters, or bicycles.
- Do not use splash pad during lightning storms.
Help us maintain an inviting and safe environment by practicing good hygiene:
- Use the restroom before entering the splash pad.
- Do not allow children who are ill onto the splash pad.
- Infants and toddlers must wear a swim diaper.
- Do not change diapers within the splash pad area.
- Do not drink the splash pad water.
- No pet washing, clothes washing, or bathing in the splash pad.
- No food or drinks within the splash pad area.
