Parks
Our parks are great places to exercise, play, learn, picnic, and relax. Tucson Parks and Recreation operates and maintains parks throughout Tucson including Active and Passive Recreation Parks, Natural and Cultural Resource Parks, River Parks and Greenways, Plazas, and Gardens. In addition, the department also maintains many undeveloped park properties, which may be developed in the future, and Open Space properties, which are preserved as open space.

School Yards as Neighborhood Parks
Tucson Parks and Recreation has cooperative agreements with local school districts to make school yards available to the public after school hours and on weekends with the goal of providing more recreational amenities within a 10-minute walk. Access to the school sites may vary so please check the signs posted at each location.
